Description
Wetsel Seedâ„¢ King Of The Garden Pole Lima Beans Seed
1/2lb
This vine-type variety is named so because it clings well to poles and does not require staking to grow. They are heat and humidity resistant and have pods that grow to 7 inches.
Select a sunny location and plant when all danger of frost is past, and the soil has warmed. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seed and keep moist. Plant bush types every 3 weeks. Support pole beans with stout poles, trellis, string, or wire. Water by soaking soil, to reduce danger of disease. For fresh limas, pick as soon as beans begin to fill pod. To dry, leave pods on plants until partially dry, then pull plants and hang in a warm, dry, airy place until dry.
