DISCRIPTION: CONTEMPORARY LANDSCAPE W/CORTEN STEEL by Blount Designs Blount Designs is proud to have transformed this outdoor space into a contemporary landscape with corten steel for our North Dallas area clients. Sitting in between the booming communities of Addison, Carrollton, and Plano, this stunning reflects our focus on quality and style. Corten steel features are infused throughout, bringing a contemporary touch at the heart of the landscape while maintaining a balanced yet striking aesthetic. Another was a red steel, which had a clinical finish, similar to cor-ten steel - it was then constructed into raised garden beds, planter boxes, retaining walls and ornaments - very durable and so interesting looking to work with. These features define the verdant limbs but also provide a magnificent counterpoint to the attractive plantings, adding yet another layer to the space. We quickly ran into several challenges associated with the things like steep grades, poor soils, and existing drainage problems to a few. Using our expertise, we carefully reshaped the land to facilitate the flow of water and to preserve our installations for years to come. Using native and drought tolerant plants will solve these problems while achieving sustainability: less maintenance and a better functional ecosystem. The end result is a stunning landscape that integrates contemporary architecture with the natural landscape. New shaded seating areas, pathways and seasonal flowers create a tranquil outdoor space for clients to enjoy. Its well-planned design is inviting for both rest and socialising with family and friends.
