After more than 50 years without updates, the residence received a two-story addition and a completely reimagined upper level, allowing it to accommodate the dynamic lifestyle of a young family of five. The design choices reflect a seamless blend of functionality and aesthetics. To enhance the interconnectivity between spaces—a common concern in older homes—openings on the main level were strategically relocated and widened. This alteration not only improved the flow of the home but also fostered visual connectivity between the kitchen, dining room, family room, and living areas. Now, standing at the heart of the kitchen, one can easily engage with activities happening in adjacent rooms, creating an inviting atmosphere for family gatherings and social events.
