Hardscapes/Patios North Star Landscape Design & Installation North Star Landscape Design & Installation recently completed a beautiful hardscape and patio that turned a simple backyard into an outdoor paradise in the heart of Michiana. Our team designed and landscaped with precision and care, creating a design that complemented the original setting as well as functioned and looked better than ever before, serving areas all around Cassopolis, Dowagiac, Edwardsburg, and the surrounding area. The included a large multi-level patio of complementary high-quality, long wearing stone look pavers. We selected these pavers because of their beautiful look but also their resistance to the weather patterns in this part of Canada. We built beautiful the retaining walls to support the outdoor living space while transitioning seamlessly from the home. The slope of the yard was one of the biggest challenges we needed to address because interlock right away needs to have proper grading and drains installed so that the surface is long-lasting and does not have pooling problems. Using well-crafted procedures and high-quality materials, our team designed a proper drainage system to promote controlled water flow and protect against potentially damaging run-off to the integrity of the hardscape. The end result was a gorgeous patio that featured an outdoor kitchen space with a built-in grill, a fire pit with seating around it, and beautiful landscaping around the whole thing. The client loved the transformation, commenting "The design provided everything we needed to entertain, as well as a peaceful retreat for family to escape the chaos of daily life."
