The started with an extensive analysis of the site so the massing could follow the natural flow of the topography. To encourage biodiversity and reduce water consumption, we included a diversity of native plants such as native wildflowers and native shrubs to the landscape. The verdant landscape was dotted with well planned slate paths made of local stone which go easily with the local scenery and withstands seasonal harshness. Perhaps the most visible aspect of this particular work was the installation of a custom water feature. In addition, a calm pond featuring a waterfall became the centerpiece of the garden, attracting local wildlife and resulting in a peaceful environment. The team needed to weave in this feature with the existing landscape to ensure it did not just look pretty but also contributed to the ecosystem around it but adding value. We also created an outdoor living room with a handcrafted pergola using reclaimed wood and making it comfortable for family gatherings. Silver grey natural stone pavers were used for the patio area to provide rustic charm and allow for durability against the elements. From the start, our team focused on sustainability, implementing organic soil amendments and responsible irrigation practices that would foster a thriving landscape but not harm the environment. The client loved the transformation when they moved in and said it was absolutely beautiful but so functional at the same time.
