Ex-Park s by Pratt's Lawn and Landscape We choose the exciting role of helping our neighbors transform their outdoor environments from simple yards into amazing landscapes that can serve as either a visual treat to enrich their homes in Georgetown, Lexington and other areas of Kentucky OR functional spaces that would beautify and give an outdoor experience to their homes. Among our 'Past s', we have proved our devotion to quality, creativity, and client satisfaction. We had one particularly fabulous in Lexington, where we tackled the daunting task of bringing a neglected backyard back to life for a gorgeous residential estate. The homeowners envisioned their modern home as a place where the outdoor and indoor seemed to exist in synthesis. Our talented team got to work, clearing out dense bushes and non-native weeds to create a blank slate. We purposefully chose native plant species and durable materials that would be harmonious to the existing built environment and would grow well in the climate of Kentucky. In order to tie everything together, we designed a winding stone path, made with locally procured flagstone, connecting the home to a fire pit area with custom-built seating. In addition, we included a colorful perennial flower garden that provides blooms throughout the seasons to keep things interesting all year round. An advanced irrigation system was implemented to use water resources wisely and responsibly, maintaining the landscape without compromising sustainability. We faced many challenges on this as well, including initially moving the dirt off site due to poor drainage and grading on the uphill neighbouring lot which was sloped. This left us with the need to design a solution that would not only address the drainage issues but would also provide more visual interest in the landscape so our garden team created an enticing tiered garden. It was nothing short of spectacular when the transformation was done. The clients loved their new outdoor retreat, bringing together the best of relaxation and entertainment spaces for their family for quiet nights in or evening gatherings.
