Located in the peaceful landscape of Barrington, Stonewood Design Group, Inc. has just finished its newest , 'Dish Rock Fountain Water Feature'. This embodies our commitment to excellence in landscaping by seamlessly combining nature with craft, creating a tranquil space in a regular backyard. The most notable part of this is the unique dish rock fountain, crafted to replicate the sound of water as it flows like the sounds of nature. We used large boulders sourced locally and river stones chosen by hand to fabricate flowing water on this fountain. The design allowed the fountain to connect its naturalistic style and flowing water to a tranquil ambiance and beautiful landscaping. In addition, LED lighting has been added to enhance the beauty of this installation during hours of darkness by providing a magnificent effect. During this , we experienced one notable issue that required innovative problem-solving. The site was not even and would create challenges in the slopes and the flow of water. To assist with water flow and drainage, our team designed and installed a tiered landscape to help with the challenge. The tiered landscape not only created a functional space but also created interest and dimension in the overall look of the fountain. Planting a variety of native plants and ornamental grasses around the fountain has created a vibrant landscape design that attracts wildlife, and will be sustainable and healthy throughout the season. Using only drought-tolerant and native plants ensures the design will thrive all year long while reducing the areas maintenance. The client was thrilled upon completion to see their vision come to life. The Dish Rock Fountain Water Feature has become a place for relaxation and entertaining friends and family to enjoy their outdoor space through new life and vitality.
