About This Project

Palmetto Bay Home by Dan The Tiki Man, Inc. Located in the heart of Palmetto Bay, we took an ordinary house and created a beautiful tropical paradise with landscape design and installation, and of course, Dan The Tiki Man, Inc. This is a great example of quality and creativity and the ability to combine the functional with the aesthetically pleasing, part of our commitment to the residents of Florida and Florida's landscapes. At the center of the plan was creating a beautiful and inviting outdoor living space, one that worked with nature. We chose native Florida plants, palms, and blooming shrubbery to create a beautiful backdrop in the area that accustomed to the exposure of the elements. Hardscapes, like travertine pavers, were used for the patio space to ensure long-lasting beauty without high maintenance. The property slope posed some challenges when thinking erosion control, as well as being able to drain the water effectively. Luckily, we were able to incorporate retaining walls made from natural stone, which reduced the slope(s) in the area contributing to the character of the landscaping. The end product is a peaceful haven with a custom-built tiki hut that leaves you and your guests an excellent escape to kick back and enjoy entertaining or peaceful evenings watching the stars. You can allow the glow of various types of lighting to bring forth a aspect of the landscape, as well as the selected plant selections with natural color and texture year round! In the end, the client loved their new space, raved over our detail, and remained excited how the blending aspects created an excellent escape outside the home.
