The Alamo Heights Living Update 2015 project revitalized a residential space originally completed in 2007, enhancing its aesthetic and functionality while preserving its core character. The client aimed to refresh the living area, leading to a thoughtful redesign that harmonizes modern elements with classic touches. The transformation began with a careful selection of new upholstery and pillow fabrics, strategically chosen to lighten the room's ambiance while complementing the existing oriental rugs. One of the standout features of this update involved the cabinetry, which underwent a significant change. The previously green cabinets were painted and glazed in a soft ivory hue, creating a bright and airy feel that breathes new life into the space. This same ivory shade was applied to the stained alder wood window seats, ensuring a cohesive look that ties the room together beautifully. The craftsmanship involved in these updates reflects a commitment to quality, demonstrating attention to detail and an understanding of color theory. Additionally, the layout of the living area was reimagined with a new furniture plan, allowing for improved flow and functionality.
