Portfolio by Ponds of New England In the quiet town of Colrain, Ponds of New England's "Portfolio" landscaping highlights our commitment to quality, creativity, and service. The was an undertaking to a full design and installation of a multi-leveled outdoor space that embraces function and natural beauty. At the center of the was a beautiful water feature designing a custom pond and waterfall. Using natural stone from a Bestway location, our accomplished crew produced a tranquil oasis that enhances aesthetics and provides a habitat for local wildlife. The pond served as a remarkable backdrop for aquatic plants to local wildlife and acts as a habitat for local wildlife. The landscape consisted of willfully selected, hardy perennials and ornamental shrubs that will thrive in Colrain's climate. Quality mulch was used in the planting, and organic amendments were incorporated into the soil for healthy growth every season. A winding pathway of reclaimed cobblestones cut through the lush garden to distract visitors while providing placemaking character and a rustic charm to the natural setting wherever we could. The slope of the natural site was one of the major challenges in the . Our crew was trained to engineer a retaining wall of boulders that stabilized the site and made inviting raised levels to plant and for gathering. While effective water canyon was created to drain while preventing erosion and structure failure, thoughtful design.
