Report: Costa Mesa Maintenance, Seed Landcare Seed Landcare is excited to share the story of the Costa Mesa Maintenance , a complete garden re-design that demonstrates our principles of quality, creativity, and functionality within outdoor space design. Las Caballeros is located in the Original Costa Mesa area of Costa Mesa, and this is both innovative and a labor of love. Our goal was to design an aesthetic, functional landscape that delighted our clients and solved the challenges of the space! Our team began with a full landscape site assessment to understand what plants already grow on the site, and to identify areas we could improve and enhance. Our design sought to use native vegetation, anchored by the installation of new drought resistant plants such as California native sages, ornamental grasses, and edible & colorful succulents for color and art to the garden while satisfying our sustainability goals. Our materials were of high quality, including all new natural stone, decorative gravel, and eco-friendly mulch, all intended to enhance the coastal nature of the areas. One of the challenges we had to solve was drainage problems the property had experienced for a great number of years. We decided to install a full-scale drainage system to ensure the landscaping would take heavy-rain and look wherever we would be located in middle of July! Lastly, our team was tasked with leveling some of the uneven ground within the space, and to define planting beds to enhance the aesthetics and aiming for a greater degree of accessibility. The final product of the Costa Mesa Maintenance is an exquisitely curated garden of intersecting paths, beautiful plants, and seating, all intended for lounging and most importantly for gathering around with friends! Our commitment to quality and attention to detail exists in every element of the landscape. This brought great joy to our client, and we believe it improved the overall aesthetic of the entire neighborhood. It is so much fun to be a part of these sustainable, high-quality modifications while conserving the charm of the area!
