About This Project

Seward Park Spirit Garden Design In the tranquil landscape of Seward Park, Spirit Garden Design began an inspiring landscape that beautifully balanced nature and function. As an expansive outdoor living space for family and friends, the prospective site offered multiple elements that exemplified our thoughtful application of quality materials and design. The began with a complete site analysis, which allowed us to address aspects of the full landscape. One challenge was the uneven ground, which we tackled using tiered planting beds. We created retaining walls while using local basalt stone and reclaimed wood without sacrificing aesthetics and stability in the outdoor landscape. The centerpiece of the design is a beautiful flagstone patio made of natural stone from local quarries. This area is a welcoming space where family and friends can enjoy outdoor dining and entertainment and visually connects the home to the exterior. The planted materials around the patio include a variety of native plants, including ferns, salal, and ornamental grasses that enhance the diversity of the area while adding year-round interest and color. As a sustainable practice, we introduced a rain garden. The rain garden captures and filters stormwater runoff, engages the ecological health of the area, and a lessened maintenance plan. This feature provides an additional attraction for pollinators while increasing beauty. The was completed on time and within budget while overcoming challenges and setbacks, including recent storms and site accessibility and conditions. Our attention to detail and quality craftsman approach vastly improved all clients' satisfaction with the completed . The Seward Park illustrates Spirit Garden Design’s passion for developing beautiful, sustainable landscapes that connect with the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest across the Greater Seattle area, including Ballard, Beacon Hill, Beaux Arts Village, Bellevue, and beyond.
