About This Project

The Stone Exterior project, executed in collaboration with my mother, Pat Holland, showcases a remarkable transformation of an exterior space that was previously characterized by a stark cold white stone finish. Over the course of our work from 2004 to 2008, we employed Faux Effects paint products to breathe new life into the façade, creating a warm and inviting aesthetic that speaks to the rustic charm of the Wichita area. Our design choices were deliberate and thoughtful, focusing on enhancing the natural beauty of the stone while introducing a harmonious color palette that complements the surrounding environment. The application of Faux Effects paint allowed us to achieve a layered texture that mimics the nuances of natural stone, resulting in a façade that is both visually striking and tactilely interesting. The warm tones we selected not only softened the starkness of the original white but also added depth and character, transforming the exterior into a welcoming space that draws the eye. Craftsmanship played a vital role in this project. Each stroke of paint was meticulously applied, ensuring that the finish was not only aesthetically pleasing but also durable against the elements. Our attention to detail is evident in every corner of the project, showcasing our commitment to quality and longevity.
