Bonnet Shores Residence Location: Bonnet Shores, Rhode Island·Facing all the challenges of a unique property, Landscape Creations of Rhode Island showed us what transforming a house into an outdoor space that flows with the elegance of a home looks like. Starting with an in-depth consultation, our team worked closely with the homeowners to understand their vision and lifestyle requirements. At the heart of the design is a beautiful multi-area patio in high-grade bluestone, adding beauty and protection against the coastal elements. We surrounded this gathering space with a riot of colorful native plantings that included a variety of ornamental grasses and flowering perennials known for their toughness and low maintenance needs. Not only do these selections beautify the landscape, they also support local biodiversity. The property had some major challenges, one of them being very sloped. Using granite boulders from the property that our team engineered terracing and series of retaining walls to define level entertaining areas and manage water where the contours run. Not only did this inventive design alleviate drainage problems but it also made the landscape feel natural and rustic. like ambient pathways and garden bed lighting round out the look, offering a way to enjoy the outdoor space day or night. We incorporated a custom water feature too, that had calming sounds, and attracted the local wildlife contributing even further to the landscape experience. The end result is a stunning, usable outdoor living space that the clients would never ever have imagined!!! Now complete, this fusion of hardscape and softscape serves as an embodiment of our dedication to high-quality materials and construction and creative design meant to provide years of low-maintenance enjoyment of this home in its oceanfront location.
