Living Outside by Landscape Architecture, LLC Located in the heart of Wisconsin, the 'Living Outside' is a testament to the artistry and craft of Landscape Architecture, LLC, serving Fitchburg, Madison, Maple Bluff, McFarland, Middleton, Monona, Oregon, Shorewood Hills, Sun Prairie, Verona, Waunakee, Windsor, and Lake Wisconsin. This landscaping was transformative for the homeowner, creating outdoor living that was truly functional yet highly aesthetic. The began with a thorough consultation process, which allowed us to learn our client's requirements for a lively outdoor space that would be cohesive and compatible with their surroundings. We faced the challenge of a slope, allowing for opportunities to engage a grading mechanism to create tiered garden beds, and transitions between levels. Durable, local stone was used for retaining walls and pathways alike, promoting a strong design, as well as a beautiful balance in the outdoors. We used a variety of native plants which provides interest year-round, and habitat for wildlife. Resilient perennials, ornamental grasses, and evergreen shrubs were selected for their long-standing durable and low maintenance qualities to give the owner enjoyment, without having to constantly tend to items in the landscape. A water feature that was both a "statement” and sound feature which creates a peaceful environment for relaxing and entertaining was installed. Some conscious efforts were also made using sustainable elements, such as permeable pavers for the patio, enabling water flow and damming up, with a lower consequence on the planet. The lighting scheme allowed for features of the landscape to be featured and lit up at night while adding a dreamy aura to any gathering. The client's expectations were exceeded with the end result of the 'Living Outside' . There was a successful balance of function and beauty, providing families to gather, enjoy quiet nights under the stars or escape to nature.
