The Opened Up Kitchen project transforms a traditional galley kitchen into a space that exudes both charm and functionality. Designed by Jeanine Yancy of MBS Interiors in Lansing, Michigan, this kitchen showcases a perfect blend of contemporary aesthetics and timeless design elements. The heart of the kitchen features maple cabinetry from Starmark, meticulously crafted in a shaker style that offers both elegance and practicality. Finished in a soft marshmallow cream, the cabinetry brightens the space while providing ample storage solutions. Central to the design is a striking island finished in oak cappuccino, which serves as both a functional workspace and a gathering spot for family and friends. The warm tones of the oak complement the lighter cabinetry, creating a harmonious balance throughout the kitchen. The countertops are made from Cambria quartzite, known for its durability and stunning visual appeal.
