Gilbert Backyard Transformation! At Dream Retreats Landscape, we believe in creating outdoor spaces that fulfill each client’s vision. The latest we tackle is the “Gilbert Backyard Transformation”. It truly exemplifies our pride and craftsmanship that we offer to the beautiful communities of Gilbert, Chandler and surrounding areas. The story began with a client who wanted a backyard retreat that could integrate nature with their functional outdoor living style. The backyard was underused, with a patchy lawn and overgrown shrubbery. We completed a site analysis, and determined that the backyard had many possibilities for an oasis. There were many things to work through, including poor soil quality and undulating terrain, which made mobility difficult. We remedied the poor soil quality with high-quality organic soil amendments and installed drainage to improve the landscape for longevity in the heat of Arizona. Some of the highlights of the Gilbert transformation included a beautiful flagstone patio for outdoor dining and a custom built wooden pergola for shade and ambiance design. We surrounded the patio with a wide variety of native plants and drought-tolerant landscaping design, including colorful desert blooms and succulent plants so there is something blooming all year to minimize water consumption. We also added a water feature that was tranquil; a modern style fountain that provided a soothing sound, as well as invited local wildlife creating natural beauty. We included LED lights for evening enjoyment in the garden, and the lights accentuated the features within the land along pathways, allowing our clients to engage in their newly built backyard way into the night. The final product pleased our clients they now have a functional outdoor living space with beautiful outdoor aesthetic that matched their lifestyle. This renovation also enhances property values and provides a retreat for family events or quiet time for themselves.
