Private Residence- Central Boise - Ivy Design & Greg Bauer A to Z Sprinklers & Landscape, Inc. is pleased to present the transformation of a private residence in Central Boise, with a stunning Ivy Design by the talented Greg Bauer. This is located in a lively neighborhood and demonstrates the marriage of aesthetic and functional design to accommodate the client’s vision. The landscaping began with a site-wide assessment so that our team could assess the challenges that were created with the existing topography of the property; challenges that included in some instances differing elevations and unusable sunlight in certain areas of the property. The landscape architects were able to develop a plan of action that brought the client’s vision to life with the addition of lush trellises of ivy that created dramatic vertical gardens that will not only enhance the beauty of the property but also provide some privacy and shade. To promote longevity and durability we used high quality, durable materials, such as natural stone pathways that connect the outdoor living areas. The natural stone pathways served as a route to direct guests throughout the outdoor space, which was designed in harmony with the abundance of colors and textures that surround it. The outside living spaces also served to display the perennials and ornamental grasses in a blooming fashion throughout the changing seasons. Irrigation levels were also a notable consideration, given the variable plant selection and the different irrigation needs that were required for each plant. The landscape team collaborated to install a design that promotes optimal water efficiency in an automated irrigation system. The sprinkler system provides favorable water levels for each individual plant in a timely manor for the growth and conservation of needed resources. The resulted in a stunning outdoor sanctuary, which offered the client a place to escape, featuring a water element adding a pleasing sonic component that allowed the client to relax, unwind, and balance in the natural oasis. When reviewing the as a whole it was clear to see the meticulous and craft that went into transforming an ordinary residence into a stunning landscape that reflects the client’s lifestyle and personal needs. The final result exceeded all expectations of the client while increasing the overall value and aesthetics of the property.
