Point Loma Bayside by Columbine Landscape, Inc. On the stunning coast, Point Loma Bayside illustrates the craftsmanship and skill of Columbine Landscape, Inc., serving the active communities, such as Cardiff By The Sea, Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, and beyond. This landscape enhanced the properties natural beauty, while also providing a functional outdoor living space, all while seamlessly combining places to relax and entertain. The landscape installed an impressive collection of brilliantly colored and textured drought-tolerant plants, chosen for their ability to thrive in the coastal context. The native plants were accented with California poppies and succulents to improve regional biodiversity with the smallest possible water footprint. Also to create a lush landscape, elegant hardscape elements were added including a natural stone pathway and custom seating, all made from local materials consistent with the surrounding landscape. The client allowed for an extensive landscape; one of the major challenges being the steep slope that required innovative grading for drainage and to avoid erosion. Each obstacle was escalated safely using updated landscape techniques by creating tiered garden beds that added interest but also function to usable space. The design resulted in a beautiful outdoor sanctuary that features a water element reflecting the beauty of the nearby bay. The landscape implemented met and exceeded the clients expectations. Clients now enjoy a tranquil retreat that respects the view of Point Loma. With attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship, Columbine Landscape, Inc has designed a beautiful landscape at Point Loma Bayside that has great value to benefit nature's beauty in Southern California coastal communities.
