Located in the heart of Portland, OR, this project commenced in 2016 and exemplifies a harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. The primary objective was to preserve the distinctive charm of the craftsman style while ensuring the porch remains a functional and inviting space. The project involved careful demolition, expertly handled by our skilled team members, Darren and Rick, who are dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the home throughout the reconstruction process. As project manager, Eric oversees every detail, ensuring that the vision aligns with both the homeowner’s desires and the character of the neighborhood. The design choices reflect a commitment to quality and aesthetics, featuring custom corbels on the pillars, which add an elegant touch while reinforcing the architectural style. In addition to the porch, the project includes the installation of new IPE fencing to replace the aging cedar and stock metal, providing both durability and a refined look that complements the newly renovated space. The selection of materials is paramount; IPE wood is not only sustainable but also renowned for its resilience against the elements, ensuring longevity and minimal maintenance. To further enhance the home's exterior, 'A Fresh Coat' is tasked with repainting the house, offering a fresh and vibrant appearance. Complementing this, custom painting for the porch is being executed by Plum Painters, whose attention to detail ensures that the final touches reflect the high standards set for this project. The Alberta Project not only revitalizes the porch but also enhances the overall appeal of the property, blending modern upgrades with the timeless elegance of craftsman design.
