Mizzou Crew Landscaping Located in stunning Greater St. Louis area, Mizzou Crew Landscaping recently finished a small-scale retaining wall that balances utility and visual flair. This was built to remediate soil erosion problems and improve the overall aesthetic appearance of the clients backyard. The retaining wall was built out of natural, high-quality stone known for its strength and unparalleled aesthetics. We handpicked every stone, we ensured that every stone would blend in with the surrounding environment and that it will stand out among the lawn of the garden. Slightly arched, the design is inherently both an aesthetic and functional solution for soil retention on a gentle slope. A major hurdle we had to overcome for this was the change in elevation across the site. Utilizing high quality leveling methods,our experienced team worked to ensure the ground remained stable despite the rocky soil that would have prevented others from leveling it. We also designed adequate drainage systems in the wall itself to avoid water pooling behind it, which protects both the wall and the lands. The end result was a beautiful and strong retaining wall that not only addressed the erosion issue, but also improved the beauty of the property overall. The client loved the result and commended us on the seamless match that the wall created with the rest of the outdoor living space.
