About This Project

Cedar Living by Hollandia Outdoors Cedar Living is a gem of a , located in the beautiful Beechwood community, where Hollandia Outdoors turned a typical back yard into the beautiful Cedar Living. This scope of landscape design included a number of quality elements meant to improve both functions and aesthetics; all while keeping the clients' vision in mind. At the heart of Cedar Living is a beautiful cedar pergola built with all locally sourced and sustainably harvested cedar wood that provides a true rustic touch and shade when needed. Surrounding the structure we planted a range of high-quality, native plants, and perennial flowers to ensure beauty year round. All of the native plants were selected for their hardiness and phenological interest from season to season. The site was unlevel prior to us coming in, and we used our expertise in grading and leveling the site, so it would be a seamless transition from the house to the outdoor living area. We added a durable, eco-friendly stone pathway, which took guests through a lush, healthy garden of ornamental grasses, plants, and flowers - enticing guests to explore and feel a connection with nature. We added an ornamental water feature that produced a peaceful sound, adding to the relaxation ambiance we sought. Our skilled artisans paid close attention to every detail to ensure that all elements were installed to perfection, including the stone work and strategically placed lighting that accentuated the landscape beautifully through the night hours. Cedar Living created a stunning outdoor oasis of a backyard that fit nicely with the natural environment without needing the typical full episode of landscaping. The client was impressed with what we created for them; transforming their backyard into a paradise. Hollandia Outdoors is honored to have created this concept of a retreat and provide excellence service to the communities of Hamilton, Holland, Macatawa, West Olive, Zeeland, Saugatuck, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Hudsonville, Fennville, and Allendale.
