In this stunning bathroom remodel, we transformed the master bathroom of a unique post and beam frame home that was once a barn. The previous design, which featured an outdated 1980s aesthetic with a redwood platform bathtub, faux green marble sinks, and navy blue Formica countertops, did not align with the homeowners’ vision for a modern yet cohesive space. Our goal was to create a luxurious and spa-like environment that enhanced the home's character while incorporating contemporary design elements. To achieve this, we began by replacing the rough wood paneling with a sophisticated faux stone half wall, which adds both texture and elegance to the space. A reclaimed barn beam was installed on the end wall, beautifully matching the original beams under the windows, thereby maintaining the home’s rustic charm. We custom-built a tile shower that features a shaving step for convenience, inset niches for toiletries, and a luxurious foot massaging river rock floor, offering a unique sensory experience. The cabinetry was meticulously crafted to create a wall-to-wall vanity that provides ample storage while delivering a seamless, built-in look. Working creatively with the roof pitch, we added a striking tower cabinet topped with a stunning quartz countertop, elevating the overall design. The finishing touches included the installation of new oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, which not only complement the bathroom's updated aesthetic but also add a touch of warmth and sophistication. The outcome of this remodel is a breathtaking master bathroom that harmoniously blends modern luxury with the historical essence of the home. This transformed space not only meets the functional needs of the homeowners but also serves as a serene retreat, perfectly reflecting the unique character of the property. The project, completed in Rome, WI, showcases a thoughtful integration of materials and craftsmanship, proving that a well-executed remodel can breathe new life into any space.
