The Fountain Way Home project in Shakopee, MN, showcases a transformative approach to home improvement, focusing on enhancing existing features to create a more functional and aesthetically pleasing environment. Commencing in 2015, this project embraced the philosophy that minor adjustments can yield significant results, all while adhering to a budget that ranged between $25,001 and $50,000. After successfully completing a basement remodel, the focus shifted to the main level of the home. The design intent was to refresh the space, making it more inviting and practical for the homeowner's everyday needs. In the kitchen, we selected high-quality new appliances that not only upgraded functionality but also complemented the existing design. The addition of granite countertops, matching the island top, brought elegance and a cohesive look to the space. A stylish tiled backsplash served as a striking focal point, enhancing the overall visual appeal of the kitchen. To cater to the homeowner's organizational needs, we designed a custom hutch and desk in a charming green finish. This piece was intended not just for utility, but also to blend seamlessly with the home’s aesthetic, resembling a fine piece of furniture rather than a mere functional item. In the home office, we undertook a comprehensive update that included new carpeting, fresh paint, and an eye-catching light fixture. The result was a space that was not only visually updated but also conducive to productivity and creativity. The project culminated in a beautifully renovated main level that reflects the homeowner's personal style while maximizing functionality. Every design choice was carefully considered, resulting in a harmonious blend of practicality and elegance. The outcome is a home that invites comfort and inspires creativity, perfectly tailored to meet the needs of its occupants.
