The Austin Transitional Painting Redesign project transformed a 30-year-old downtown condo into a modern living space that marries contemporary aesthetics with the charm of its original design. The scope of the project began with retexturing both the walls and ceilings, applying a subtle orange peel texture that lends a clean and sophisticated ambiance throughout the unit. This meticulous craftsmanship created a fresh canvas that enhanced the overall atmosphere of the condo. In our pursuit of a cohesive contemporary theme, we replaced the doors, jams, and casings, ensuring that every detail contributed to a polished and updated look. The choice to paint the kitchen cabinets in a brighter hue was a game-changer, infusing the space with vibrancy and modernity while seamlessly connecting it to the rest of the interiors. Complementing these updates, we selected a light gray and tan color palette for the walls, which not only harmonized beautifully with the existing flooring but also provided a sophisticated backdrop that accentuates both new and old elements. Lighting played a crucial role in the redesign, and we upgraded the unit with recessed LED lights throughout, all controlled by dimmers to allow for customizable ambiance. This enhancement not only improved the functionality of the space but also highlighted the fresh textures and colors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere ideal for relaxation and entertainment.
