Landscape Maintenance: Back to Basics with Askew Brother's Landscaping Askew Brother's Landscaping handled the for a full Traditional Landscape Maintenance for the entirety of the Camden area with pride, in addition to the areas of Eldorado Hills, Folsom, Cameron Park, and Shingle Springs. This was all transforming a rather dated but much-loved private garden, combining traditional design with contemporary maintenance. We start the with an extensive consultation in order to understand the homeowners desires for their outdoor space. We carefully evaluated what was currently on the property, both in terms of existing trees, established flower beds and ornamental shrubs, aiming to preserve and build upon aspects of the existing landscape. We then used some of the best organic fertilizers, we controlled the pests using natural eco-friendly materials, and even used cost-effective premium mulch to facilitate the plant growth, flowering, etc. Chief among them was dealing with neglected, overgrown areas that had seen better days. A little strategic pruning, re-edging of flower beds and some added seasonal plantings turned these areas into features around the garden. We also tackled some drainage issues that were frustrating and leading to pooling and put in sustainable drainage to protect the integrity of the landscape. Ultimately, it was a gorgeous, virtually maintenance-free garden that combined the classic beauty of historic landscaping with the modern practicality required for today. The owners of the house were very happy with the transformation, stating that the elegant aesthetic along with the healthy vegetation has elevated their experience outdoors.
