The Elegant & Traditional Master Bathroom project transformed a spacious yet underutilized 80’s contemporary-style bathroom into a stunning sanctuary that harmonizes with the traditional aesthetic of the home. The previous layout, characterized by walls that divided the toilet, an outdated platform tub, and a bulky linen closet, did not fully leverage the generous space available. JMC undertook a comprehensive renovation, removing these barriers to create a more open and inviting environment. The centerpiece of the revamped bathroom is a luxurious freestanding tub, strategically positioned under a vaulted ceiling that features a skylight, allowing natural light to flood the space. This design choice not only enhances the visual appeal but also creates a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Adjacent to the tub, a spacious two-person shower has been introduced, complete with built-in storage shelves, replacing the previous dark and cramped stall shower. This upgrade ensures both functionality and an elevated bathing experience. Attention to detail is paramount in this project, as evidenced by the expansive custom vanity that provides ample storage and light. Featuring rollout trays and drawers, it caters to the owners' needs while maintaining an elegant aesthetic. A thoughtfully designed half-wall adjacent to the vanity offers privacy for the toilet area without disrupting the overall flow of the room. Additionally, a bespoke furniture piece serves as linen storage, further enhancing the bathroom's functionality. To ensure cohesiveness with the traditional elements of the home, we incorporated classic design features throughout the space. Custom paneling, intricate moldings, and a corner wall column add depth and character, perfectly complementing the contemporary vaulted ceiling. The result is a master bathroom that not only meets the owners' desires for elegance and utility but also provides a stunning visual narrative that elevates the entire home. The clients now enjoy a beautifully crafted bath space that embodies their vision of elegance and traditional charm.
