Serving the Mid-Michigan area, we were asked to improve a residential property with a resilient and tasteful aesthetic for soil stabilization. By utilizing Clifrock panels, which are distinguished by their lightweight and durable construction, we were able to build a retaining wall that stabilized the steep grade of the backyard, as well as add a decorative feature that impersonated the classic natural stone look. The required attention to detail during preconstruction, and proper and cautious execution to maintain the integrity of the retaining wall construction, while cautiously matching the aesthetics of the existing landscape. As the unfolded, we noticed some concerns needed to be addressed, such as continuity of slope for the placement due to uneven terrain and proper drainage to accommodate significant buildup behind the wall. Our experienced team of professionals utilized our advanced grading techniques to mitigate the challenges we faced, as well as adding drainage along the backside of the retaining wall that reflected our concerns for durability for the and protecting existing landscaping nearby. The result was a beautifully executed retaining wall that served the intention of the wall, gave traditional decorative styling to enhance the overall aesthetic of the entire backyard space. The rich textures and colors of the Clifrock panels correlated beautifully with the existing environment. Our client was thrilled with our services, and more importantly our contribution to their goal of establishing a relaxing and well-planned garden.
