This showcases a custom fit-designed pool seamlessly integrated with carefully planned landscape specific to the South Louisiana culture, located in the heart of New Orleans. We had to overcome a few hurdles, firstly the unique soil conditions where we are and also the need to develop a seamless design that suits the architecture and lush surroundings of the property. Natural stone for the pool deck or flow-through materials minimise the need for filtration and chemicals: Again, the selection of high-quality, often sustainably-sourced materials, weather tolerant plants in the surrounding landscape, and intelligent systems, where maintenance is driven by sustainable irrigation systems that respond to in-ground moisture levels, all combine to attract minimal maintenance. At the heart of the is the spectacular infinity-edge pool, where the edge of the water appears to blend with that of the surrounding landscape, creating an optical horizon. Blooming colorful flower beds surrounding the pool with native Louisiana plants provide year-round color and bolster local biodiversity. For custom outdoor living space we created amenities such as a shaded pergola and stone fire pit for social gatherings or moments of solitude. This design considers not only the aesthetics, but also the maximum usages of an area to get it as a spot for family or friends gatherings. The overall result more than satisfied our client and fulfilled their vision of a great outdoor space that resembles the Gulf South lifestyle and comfortable living.
