About This Project

The Modern Home Office project, located in Allentown, PA, was conceived in 2016 to create an ideal workspace for a dedicated accountant who works from home full time. The client's vision was to design a dual-purpose environment that would not only enhance productivity during work hours but also serve as a relaxing retreat during her leisure time. To achieve this, we innovatively split the room down the middle—designating one side as a functional office space while transforming the other into a cozy lounge area. Color played a pivotal role in tying the two distinct spaces together, with a focus on the client's passion for teal and pink. These vibrant hues were carefully integrated throughout the design, fostering an inviting atmosphere that brightens even the dreariest days. The fireplace was expertly refaced, becoming a charming focal point that adds warmth to the office. Complementing this feature, we installed a built-in bookcase, tailored to showcase the client's extensive book collection and love for literature. To ensure organization and efficiency, we selected a capable desk that meets the demands of her accounting work while remaining stylish. Additionally, we incorporated creative elements to personalize the space, such as innovative chicken wire frames for displaying her children's artwork and medals from her triathlon competitions, adding a touch of uniqueness and pride to the dec. The selection of new wall sconces and comfortable furniture enhances the room's functionality and aesthetic appeal, while playful accents infuse energy into the overall design. The result is a bright, lovely office that not only caters to the client's professional needs but also offers ample storage and a serene ambiance for relaxation. This Modern Home Office stands as a testament to effective design, balancing functionality with personal expression, ultimately creating an inspiring environment for both work and leisure.
