About This Project

The Play Room project in Boise, ID, transformed a previously cluttered and chaotic space into an inviting and organized area designed for creativity and fun. This contemporary playroom was a labor of love that took approximately six hours to complete, though the process was delightfully slowed down by two enthusiastic young helpers. Their excitement over rediscovering long-lost toys added a joyful element to the project, highlighting the importance of both play and organization in a child's environment. The design choices for this playroom focused on maximizing functionality while maintaining a playful aesthetic. The color palette incorporated soft, muted tones combined with vibrant accents to stimulate imagination while ensuring the space felt calm and inviting. By utilizing a combination of open shelving and storage bins, we created an accessible layout that encourages children to engage with their toys while also learning the value of tidiness. The materials selected were durable and easy to clean, ensuring that the playroom could withstand the wear and tear of daily play.
