The Double Island Kitchen project in New Orleans, LA, showcases a harmonious blend of functionality and elegance, making it an exceptional centerpiece for the home. This traditional kitchen design features two stunning granite islands that serve distinct yet complementary purposes. One island is dedicated to meal preparation, equipped with ample workspace and storage, while the other boasts an elevated bar area, perfect for casual dining and entertaining guests. The client selected 3cm Colonial Cream granite for both islands, a choice that lends a warm and inviting aesthetic to the space. Our skilled craftsmen meticulously fabricated the granite with a deep ogee edge, delivering a luxurious finish that enhances the overall visual appeal. The flush lamination technique, gauged down to a 2cm thickness, ensures a sleek transition between surfaces, providing a seamless look that is both refined and practical. Complementing the granite islands, the perimeter countertops feature a flat polished edge that maintains a clean and understated elegance, allowing the beauty of the granite to take center stage. The backsplash, made from subway slate tile, adds a touch of texture and contrast, harmonizing beautifully with the warm tones of the granite. To further elevate the kitchen’s design, walnut travertine flooring has been installed, offering durability while enhancing the traditional charm of the space. The rich, earthy tones of the flooring create a cohesive and inviting atmosphere, perfect for family gatherings or entertaining friends. The successful completion of the Double Island Kitchen project reflects a commitment to quality craftsmanship and a keen eye for design.
