Upper Saddle River, New Jersey Thomas Flint Landscape Design & Development is proud to present this beautiful renovation to a residential property in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. This illustrates our commitment to quality while exhibiting our ability to create outdoor spaces that complement the charm of any residential home. Even with the experience of our design team, this started with a fair amount of work ahead of them due to the sites steep slope, reinforcing the need for creative solutions to ensure an aesthetically pleasing yet functional outcome. The design aspect included a series of terraced gardens with natural stone walls using locally sourced bluestone. The stone not only added a beautiful, structurally element, but the natural feel the stone provides is timeless. The design included a robust selection of native plantings including perennials and ornamental grasses that had seasonal interest, as well as, tolerance for fluctuating temperatures. The use of a larger flagstone patio space for entertaining patrons added an equally beautiful outdoor living space. Image having nice outdoor lighting to showcase the landscape to its fullest potential after sunset! The landscape upgrades were paired with an efficient irrigation system to promote water sustainability while ensuring the gardens would remain lush and enjoyable through the seasons. The overall result was a stunning landscape that seamlessly complemented the home's architectural aesthetic while providing the clients with a private outdoor family escape. In summary, this was a true testament of our commitment to quality work and the ability to solve inherent challenges with creativity. The clients were thrilled with the overall stating " the design and functionality are seamless and together create an amazing outdoor space” and ... "the backyard is my favorite part of the home”.
