About This Project

In the Flower Mound Mediterranean Home, we undertook a transformative project that beautifully marries traditional Mediterranean aesthetics with modern design sensibilities. The focal point of this home is the family and kitchen area, where we applied a warm caramel paint and glaze, creating an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The meticulous craftsmanship is evident in the vent hood, which features authentic cast stone corbels. To maintain structural integrity while minimizing weight, we crafted the upper portion from MDF, skillfully covering it with an acrylic stone that perfectly matches the cast stone below. A standout feature of this residence is the elegant groin vault ceiling in the hallway, which rests gracefully upon robust stone columns. This ceiling showcases a smooth, non-textured surface finished with a soft glaze that enhances the light and space, drawing the eye toward the exquisite cracked linen detail at the end of the hallway niche. The sophisticated interplay of textures and finishes adds depth and interest to the home’s design. In the formal dining area, we opted for a rich, bold red paint, complemented by a deep mahogany glaze that elevates the room's ambiance. A striking design element is the ceiling, which boasts a luxurious appearance reminiscent of gold leafing. In reality, this effect was achieved using tissue paper, demonstrating our commitment to innovative and cost-effective design solutions without compromising on elegance. This project reflects our dedication to creating personalized spaces that resonate with the homeowner's vision while showcasing high craftsmanship and creativity.
