Serving a large area of the state, from Arbutus to Baltimore to Silver Spring, our team focused on using natural materials and innovative designs to develop dynamic outdoor spaces. At the center of this was a beautiful custom pond, designed to enhance the surrounding landscape. With only the finest, sustainable, long-lasting materialsnatural stone and environmentally friendly liners, we made sure the pond can last for many years. The pond has remarkable finishes, featured with a waterfall, which is constructed using locally quarried boulders. The waterfall contributes to the surrounding visual qualities while expressing sounds of flowing water, adding to the auditory experience of the space. Our team challenge involved the site's uneven terrain and limited time to complete the job. Through thoughtful planning, the team leveled the site and incorporated a detailed drainage system to ensure no pooling of water would occur, allowing the pond to always be the focal point. To advance the character of the pond, native aquatic plants were installed. The plants played a role in beautifying the area while promoting wildlife in the space. The use of low maintenance, drought tolerant landscaping materials guarantees the garden is versatile, thriving without a lot of attention for years to come, while adding another layer of sustainability for the client.
