The Easton, PA Transitional Kitchen project exemplifies a harmonious blend of modern functionality and timeless design, transforming a dated space into a culinary haven. Originally part of a ranch house built in 1958, this kitchen had not adapted to the enhancements made during a late 90s addition, particularly the soaring cathedral ceiling that demanded a more proportionate cabinetry solution. The existing white kitchen, featuring standard 30” wall cabinets, was replaced with Signature Custom Cabinetry, offering a frameless design with European full overlay in the elegant “Larchmont” door style, crafted from cherry wood finished in a rich “Truffle” stain. Every aspect of the cabinetry was designed with both aesthetics and usability in mind. The full extension dovetail drawers, equipped with a soft-close feature, ensure a seamless and quiet experience. Interior finishes in maple add a touch of warmth and sophistication. The base cabinets incorporate thoughtful elements such as rollout tray shelves, a lazy Susan, spice drawer, pullout waste baskets, and cleverly concealed cutting boards and knife blocks, enhancing both organization and convenience. The centerpiece island features an extended countertop, perfect for casual dining and social gatherings. The wall cabinet layout is striking, with 24” cabinets mounted over 42” cabinets, seamlessly integrating an enclosed refrigerat. Additionally, the buffet area is enhanced with 36” high wall cabinets featuring glass and bronze wire inserts, complemented by a bar sink and an undercounter wine cooler, making it ideal for entertaining. Top-of-the-line JennAir stainless steel appliances, including a hood, range, and dishwasher, further elevate the kitchen's modern appeal. The custom granite countertop, “Giallita,” with its eased edge, pairs beautifully with the striking tile backsplash, utilizing Jeffrey Court Breakwater in “Sand” and other accent tiles to create a visually stunning backdrop. The finishing touches include stainless steel Blanco sinks and Moen “Ascent” faucets, ensuring both functionality and elegance in this exquisite transitional kitchen.
