The that is the focus of this description is called "Residential Landscaping" and is located in the scenic area that spans Darien, East Norwalk, Greens Farms, Greenwich, New Canaan, North Stamford, Norwalk, Old Greenwich, Stamford, and Westport. This is a large landscape that drastically changed the full front and back of the property with a sequence of beautiful landscape features that fit well with the natural landscape. The began with the construction of custom stone paths using the bluestone sourced locally in the mid-coast region. One of the benefits of using stone pathways is that it provides both durability and visual texture/color to the landscape, albeit the durability and visual quality of bluestone is noteworthy. The use of permeable materials allows for effective drainage, which is a vital consideration living on the coast. These same techniques were utilized in the selection of plants to create visual interest and seasonal color, while also maximizing the use of native plants like ornamental grasses, perennials, and flowering shrubs which benefit both visual interest and serve as a regional climate benefit to local wildlife through biodiverse choice selections of plant material. The topography of the site also provided challenges for our design team. Specifically, the site was sloped; the team created tiered garden beds that prevented further erosion on the slope, while also effectively changing the topography giving the homeowner a nice space and interest to work with. Likewise, an outdoor living area was designed and constructed with an elegant fire pit and seating. The feature is inviting and great for gatherings. The materials selected for such features are high-quality, weather resistant, and very easy to maintain. Soft landscape lighting was added to highlight the beauty of the design during evening hours for function and mood. At the end of the , the final landscaping product was stunning, and our clients were thrilled with the results. Their property not only has a cohesive design, but reflects their personal design preferences while adding curb appeal to the home as one should expect.
