About This Project

The Honeycomb Decorating Project encompasses a transformative redesign of a living room, tailored to the specific needs and preferences of the clients who recently moved into their new home in Boise, ID. The project initiated in 2016 with a clear objective: to enhance the living space through thoughtful space planning, furniture arrangement, and the integration of new decorative elements while adhering to a budget of less than $1000. Collaboration was key to the success of this project. Working closely with the clients, we explored several options for furniture placement that not only optimized the flow of the room but also highlighted the existing features of the space. A significant aspect of the design was the incorporation of two new accent chairs, which complemented the clients' previous furniture pieces, including their tables, seamlessly blending old and new. This approach not only helped in maintaining a cohesive aesthetic but also ensured that the space felt personal and reflective of the clients' style. The design choices made throughout the project were carefully considered, with an emphasis on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The color palette was selected to enhance the natural light and create a sense of openness, while the textures of the new seating added depth and comfort to the space.
