The Sun Valley project showcases an exquisite log stair system, exemplifying the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern craftsmanship. Our skilled artisans began the process with a comprehensive mechanical sanding of the entire stair system using Mirka® Bulldog Gold™ abrasive disks. This step ensured a smooth finish, allowing the inherent textures of the logs to shine through, while also preparing the surface for optimal stain absorption. For the staining, we opted for Minwax™ Natural # 209, a choice that beautifully accentuates the grain and color variations present in the wood, bringing forth a rich, warm tone that resonates with the rustic aesthetic desired by our client. Following the staining process, we applied Klass Kote™ 2-part epoxy clear satin coatings, which not only enhanced the visual appeal but also provided a robust protective layer against wear and tear.
