The Linden Hills Kitchen project stands as a testament to the seamless integration of early century craftsmanship with modern design sensibilities. Awarded the Watermark Grand Prize by "Builder" magazine in 2012, this custom kitchen is a true reflection of thoughtful planning and exceptional execution, situated in the vibrant neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN. Designed by the talented duo Jean Rehkamp and Ryan Bicek of Rehkamp Larson Architects, the kitchen caters to the culinary needs of a family that values both functionality and aesthetics. The project scope involved a complete renovation of the kitchen space, which was transformed into a culinary haven equipped with state-of-the-art modern appliances, including dual refrigerators, a steam oven, a wine fridge, a dual fuel range, and a dishwasher. These features, paired with dual sinks, make the kitchen not only a place for meal preparation but also a gathering spot for family and friends who appreciate the art of cooking. The design choices reflect a harmonious balance between traditional and contemporary elements. The custom hand-made golden tile backsplash serves as a stunning focal point, beautifully coordinating with the stained quarter sawn oak and painted cabinetry.
