The Jupiter Farms Animal Enclosure project revitalized a key outdoor area for a household deeply immersed in the rural charm of western Jupiter. This community is known for its commitment to barnyard living, and this particular residence included both a goat enclosure and a chicken coop. Over time, the wooden structures had succumbed to the elements, leading to significant wear with surfaces becoming bleached, soiled, and harboring mold. The objective of this project was to restore these surfaces, enhancing both their aesthetic appeal and functional longevity. To achieve this goal, Renew Crew employed a meticulous three-step process designed to rejuvenate the wood without causing any damage. The first step involved an eco-friendly chemical pre-soak that penetrated the wood, loosening dirt and mold while ensuring a safe approach for the surrounding environment. Following this, our team utilized a low-pressure power wash to effectively remove the accumulated grime, revealing the beautiful textures of the wood beneath. This careful cleaning process was essential to prepare the surfaces for the final stage. Once the wood was clean, we applied a semi-transparent slate stain sealant, which not only added an elegant finish but also provided essential protection against future weathering and growth of mold. This sealant enhanced the natural beauty of the wood, showcasing its grain while ensuring durability against the elements. The outcome was striking; the animal enclosure and chicken coop were transformed into vibrant structures that not only met the practical needs of the animals but also complemented the picturesque setting of Jupiter Farms.
