Backyard Fun

Backyard Fun by WaterQuest Landscaping WaterQuest Landscaping recently completed the 'Backyard Fun' in Albuquerque, NM. This took a backyard from a typical outdoor space, to a family retreat. This large landscaping met the needs of our clients in Albuquerque, Corrales, Kirtland Afb or any city in between with an unquestionable commitment to quality, creativity, and client satisfaction. To start the , we undertook an inventory and analysis of the clients' property so that we could assess the challenges of the sloping site, as well as the existing plants in the landscape. Our team designed a multi-tiered design using natural stone retaining walls to allow the landscape to tie in nicely with the existing topography. Additionally, we planned for, selected and planted only drought-resistant plants, including natives that provided color through flowers and shrubs, each step taken with sustainability in mind to enhance the overall appeal of the landscape. Probably the coolest parts of the 'Backyard Fun' was the custom built fire pit, surrounded with paver stones and nice lighting which created an inviting space for the entire family to enjoy their outdoor time. While this space was meant to have a meaningful purpose, it also provided comfort and a magical atmosphere for evenings spent in the backyard. This area was designed to accommodate family fun one day, and an oasis of relaxation the next evening. Additionally we planned for a child's play area that included durable and eco-friendly materials that would be safe for the children. The local governments have made obtaining permits for outdoor s a challenge, but our team worked diligently to secure an approved process and permit, to make it easier for our clients and families and less stressful. Backyard Fun was designed to help families have fun and entertain, with a beautiful lawn to play on (artificial turf for sustainability), flowers for color and trees to provide shade through the day. Our clients were very satisfied with how their backyard was transformed from traditional and bland, to a lively oasis for family fun and enjoyment, but also a loyal haven where they could escape the busy days.
