Buried downspouts and sump pump by Mason's Landscaping and Construction LLC (hashtag removed) Mason's Landscaping and Construction LLC recently completed a challenging landscaping in Doylestown, involving the installation of buried downspouts and a sump pump system. The scope of this was to improve the drainage of the property while preserving the look of the landscape. By using only commercial-grade PVC piping and heavy-duty drainage fabrics, we made sure water got bottled away from the house where it naturally belongs and we stopped the soil underneath from getting washed away and flooding the house. The existing landscape design made it quite a challenge to come up with effective downspout integrations. Working with these talented landscapers, they carefully negotiated around the more mature trees and limited flower beds so that little of the existing ecosystem was disrupted. We also installed a sump pump (which is placed in the back fed with excess groundwater during heavier rains) and connected it to the downspout. This system was incorporated so well into the landscape, the decorative stones and plantings allowing the functional elements to just blend in while adding to the aesthetics of the yard. The result was a gorgeous yard that helped protect the property from water damage as well as providing some great curb appeal. The client was over the moon with the result and commented on our attention to detail and quality of work.
