Waterfalls by Sid's Unlimited Landscaping At Sid's Unlimited Landscaping, we recently completed an enchanting one that we call, Waterfallstransforming a typical suburban backyard into a peaceful retreat for a family located in Orland Park, Illinois, a nearby suburb. The client requested a space that meshed with nature and allowed for a calming experience, something we delivered above their expectations. The focal point of this is the multileveled waterfall using stunning natural stones sourced from local quarries that the client chose. The sound of the flowing water tied the visual aspects of the waterfall together while also providing a soothing experience; the perfect way to experience and share the outdoors. Surrounding the waterfall, we installed lush native plantings such as ferns and ornamental grass. The plantings provided color, texture, and encouraged biodiversity around the waterfall. The property was sloped, which posed a challenge regarding engineering, water flow, and stability; however, our team was up to the task. Our team carefully graded the land so that the waterfalls would work correctly and retain the beauty of the landscape. Sid's Unlimited Landscaping team also installed a tremendous filtration system for the water to remain crystal clear so that the family would enjoy their backyard oasis without worrying upkeep. The end result is a truly stunning landscape that blends perfectly with the natural landscape. Rock pathways wind their way throughout the property leading down to intimate sitting areas that lend themselves to family gatherings or quiet evenings. The implementation of soft ambient lighting makes the waterfall even more magical in the evening allowing the family to enjoy the waterfall year-round.
