The Upper West Side Apartment project embodies a harmonious blend of comfort and sophistication, tailored to meet the desires of our clients for a simple yet inviting living space. The design journey commenced in 2016, focusing on creating an atmosphere that resonates with warmth and personal significance. In the main living area, we strategically selected a deep gray paint for accent walls, which not only provides a cozy backdrop but also serves as a canvas for vibrant accents throughout the space. The incorporation of rich blues and an array of eclectic prints introduces an energizing contrast against the neutral tones, enhancing the overall aesthetic and inviting a sense of liveliness. In our quest to reflect our clients' cultural heritage, subtle nods to their Chinese roots were woven into the design, particularly through the thoughtful use of the color red and carefully curated decorative items. This infusion of personal touches not only honors their background but also enriches the character of the apartment. The bedroom, a sanctuary of relaxation, showcases jewel-toned blues complemented by accents of gold, which together create a luxurious and inviting ambiance. The selection of materials was deliberate, with a focus on quality craftsmanship that ensures durability while maintaining a timeless appeal. The crowning jewel of the space is the stylish dark wood dresser, adorned with elegant brass bar pulls, epitomizing the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic that pervades the design.
