Around the Shop Meyer's Turf And Landscape Nursery recently wrapped up a truly exciting landscaping , "Around the Shop", in West Palm Beach, which is a great demonstration of our commitment to quality and creativity. The goal of the was to improve the outdoor aesthetic of a local retail space, changing a dull exterior into an inviting garden that reflects the lively culture of the area. The design included a balance of lush tropical plants, native Florida vegetation, and some custom hardscaping. We chose a mix of bright bougainvillea, aromatic gardenias, and tough varieties of palms to have year-round color with little care. We enhanced the usability of the space by designing permeable paver walkways to provide durability and assist in the occupying drainage. One of the major challenges was working with the unlevel site, which developed a need for creative grading methods to develop a flat surface for planting and walking areas. Our team was able to overcome the problem by using effective soil amendments to improve growing conditions for the new planting. In the end, we were able to create a wonderful landscape that serves as a frame for the shop, with an engaging sitting area that enjoys the surrounding plant material and access to some well-placed accent lighting. This improved the curb appeal of the shop and made it more inviting to customers. Upon seeing the new landscape, our client was excited, stating that the new landscape brought more one-on-one customer traffic and a better overall shopping experience.
