Located in Siloam Springs, AR, this project began with an overwhelming number of more than 80 trees, a chain link fence, and a landscape dominated by bare dirt. The vision was to create a welcoming and functional outdoor area that would cater to the needs of the entire family, particularly their children who require special accommodations. Central to the design is a thoughtfully constructed patio featuring a strategically placed drain, allowing for the future installation of a splash pad. This innovative element not only enhances the recreational options for the children but also ensures that the space remains usable and enjoyable during warmer months. Recognizing the mobility challenges faced by some family members, concrete pathways were incorporated throughout the outdoor area to facilitate easy navigation and accessibility. These paths seamlessly connect the various zones of the landscape, promoting a sense of flow and unity. Craftsmanship was key in this project, with careful attention paid to every detail. The fountain pedestal, a unique feature of the space, is ingeniously crafted from a piece of galvanized pipe sourced from the outdoor fireplace chimney, adding a rustic charm that echoes the overall farmhouse aesthetic.
