The Oakfair Plantation master bath renovation represents a transformative journey from a space plagued with significant wood rot damage to a stunning, modern retreat. This project required a complete gutting of the existing bathroom, which revealed extensive issues with the subfloor and joists. Collaborating closely with the homeowners, RCS embarked on a thoughtful design process that prioritized both functionality and aesthetic appeal, ensuring the new bathroom would meet the needs of daily life while exuding elegance. The design features a striking glass shower enclosure that not only enhances the visual openness of the space but also offers a luxurious experience. The inclusion of ample cabinet storage provides practical solutions for organization, blending seamlessly with the overall modern design. To enhance comfort and air quality, we installed 80 CFM vent fans in both the main bathroom and the water closet, ensuring that the space remains fresh and well-ventilated. In a bid to improve energy efficiency and aesthetics, the old glass tile window was replaced with a contemporary, energy-efficient picture window that floods the area with natural light while maintaining privacy. Additionally, the installation of space-saving pocket doors for both the master closet and bathroom entry optimizes the layout, allowing for a more open and inviting atmosphere. Throughout the renovation, meticulous attention to craftsmanship was paramount, with high-quality materials selected to ensure durability and style. The result is a cohesive and sophisticated bathroom that reflects modern design trends, complemented by the thoughtful touches that enhance everyday living. The outcome not only revitalizes the home but also elevates the owners’ daily routine.
