The Beach Bungalow transformation project in Spring Lake, NJ, epitomizes the perfect blend of coastal charm and modern functionality. Originally a quaint one-story cottage, the home underwent a comprehensive renovation to enhance both its aesthetic appeal and livability. With a commitment to creating a bright, welcoming environment, the design retained the Master Suite on the first floor while introducing a thoughtfully planned second floor that accommodates three additional bedrooms. A standout feature of this transformation is the open, bright staircase which connects the two levels. Strategically positioned along the exterior wall, this architectural choice not only maximizes space but also creates a wide, airy hallway that seamlessly links the Dining Room to the Kitchen. The redesigned Kitchen, rebuilt in its original location, showcases a striking vaulted ceiling that was achieved by incorporating the attic space above. The use of bead board paneling throughout the kitchen surfaces adds a touch of elegance and a nod to classic beach-style design. In the Living Room, the transformation includes a cozy sitting area that was carved from what was previously a sun room. The new gas fireplace, adorned with shiplap boards, serves as a focal point, inviting warmth and comfort to family gatherings. The exterior of the home further enhances its beach style with newly installed James Hardie fiber cement siding, featuring contrasting colors that highlight the board and batten sections.
