Seattle Back Yard Remodel Fall 2016 In the heart of Seattle, Plumb Landscapes Inc. was proud to finish the 'Seattle Back Yard Remodel' in Fall 2016. This converted an unsightly outdoor space into a delightful outdoor escape for the clients. In this case, we were working in the busy and peaceful neighborhood of Ballard. We believe this demonstrates our quality of work and aesthetic creativity that we provide to our clients throughout greater Seattle, which, in addition to Ballard, includes Beacon Hill, Bellevue, Bothell, Kirkland, and Shoreline. The renovation was a beautiful combination of hardscape and softscape elements. We constructed a beautifully designed multi-tiered patio with local, durable basalt stone for an elegant outdoor entertaining surface. To complement the patio, we introduced a customized fire pit with seating around the area for evenings spent outdoors. Near the fire pit, an organic pathway wound through native plants connecting the multiple functional areas of the yard while adding site beauty. One of the challenges was addressing the existing drainage problems. Our team installed a complex drainage system to mitigate the past issues while enhancing the functionality of the space. We also chose drought-tolerant plants appropriate for the seasonal climate of the Seattle area to fill the garden spaces and provide maintenance for the homeowner. The ultimate result was a beautiful outdoor sanctuary with plenty of greenery, colorful flower beds, and a calming water feature. The attention paid to detail and the consideration of client satisfaction definitely ensured the homeowner was fulfilled by their gorgeous new outdoor space.
